A Three-Year Member Shares Why NDCW Membership Matters:
Involvement and Activities: I love how NDCW brings beef to the table, literally and figuratively. We, as producers, bring the physical beef to the table, and as members bring the knowledge and recognition to the table to celebrate beef. I am still new to NDCW but hope to continue to be a member and become more involved in all the activities provided through NDCW.
Family Involvement: I am the first member of my family to be involved in NDCW but have a long line of cattle producers in my family history.
Meaningful experience: At one of my first meetings I attended, I was welcomed with open arms and included like I was a member from the very start. They included me right in on the discussion and planning of upcoming events and really made me feel like part of the group. It’s great to brainstorm and bring different ideas and perspectives to events that have been going on for many years.
Impact of NDCW: I think it’s neat how we all come from different professions, ages and walks of life but we all come together to promote our love of beef. It’s wonderful to have a group of women to connect and collaborate with and influence and educate our communities.
